Fresh Flowers Grown with Heart—for People, Pollinators & the Planet
Wild Life Flowers –
Our Farm
Wild Life Flowers is a small-scale flower farm dedicated to improving the quality of life for both people and pollinators. Nestled in Plainfield, Massachusetts, on the unceded homeland of the Pocumtuc and Nipmuc peoples, the farm prioritizes sustainability and biodiversity. We grow a diverse selection of perennials, biennials, annual flowers, woody shrubs, and display-worthy vegetables, herbs, and fruits on a one-acre section of the property. We focus on pollinator-friendly plants native to the region, ensuring a thriving ecosystem.
Wild Life Flowers is part of the “grown, not flown” slow flower movement, using sustainable, regenerative, water-conserving, and low-till growing practices to reduce the carbon footprint of fresh flowers. Flowers are available exclusively at the farm stand or through local delivery, as shipping is not part of the farm’s mission.
Our Mission
At Wild Life Flowers, the goal is simple: to cultivate beauty in a way that nurtures both people and the planet. By growing long-lasting, sustainable flowers and foliage, the farm supports local biodiversity, conserves resources, and fosters a deeper connection between nature and the community. Every stem is grown with care, honoring the shape, scent, and purpose of each bloom.
Our flowers are available April through October. We stock the farm stand weekly with fresh-cut bouquets, offer seasonal flower subscriptions, and provide buckets of blooms or custom arrangements for small special events, local businesses, and non-profit organizations. We aim to provide the best flowers you can find. Sustainability is at the heart of every practice—reducing environmental impact, supporting local ecosystems, and offering a mindful alternative to conventional floral sourcing.

Our Story
Growing flowers has always been a source of joy and inspiration, from placing pansies on a cake to incorporating nasturtium in a salad or using marigold and zinnia for natural fabric dyes. Flowers are not just something to admire—they are meant to be experienced through all the senses and in their own season. After three decades of gardening, and several years of sharing my floral bounty with friends and neighbors, I took the leap into micro-flower farming in 2022.
One of my greatest joys is seeing the smiles that flowers bring, whether it's arranging ninebark and peony in a local potter’s vase or drying dahlia blooms for everlasting arrangements. My flowers are readily accessible to folks in Plainfield and the surrounding small rural hilltowns where I have lived, volunteered, and worked for over 55 years. Wild Life Flowers could not thrive without the strong back and patience of my partner and the network of local entrepreneurs from whom I source supplies and support.
Thank you for supporting a small-scale, local business dedicated to sustainable beauty. Sign up for my newsletter to stay updated on what’s in season—I’d love to flower you with joy!
