About
Thanks for supporting local agriculture and the slow flowers movement!
Wild Life Flowers, nurtured by Kimberly Longey, is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people and pollinators with attractive, long-lasting and sustainable flowers and culinary herbs.
Perennials are integral to my half-acre garden. Increasingly, I’m adding biennial and annual flowers, woody shrubs, and display-worthy vegetables, herbs and fruits. I focus on pollinator-friendly plants native to our region of western Massachusetts, the unceded homeland of the Pocumtuc and Nipmuc peoples.
After 35 years of gardening, in 2020 I began sharing my bounty with others. I love growing beauty and stay inspired by honoring the shape, smell and taste of flowers – placing pansies on a cake; arranging ninebark and peony in a local potter’s vase; incorporating nasturtium in a salad; using marigold and zinnia for fabric dyes; and drying dahlia blooms for everlasting arrangements. I’m rewarded by the smile received while handing a friend a bouquet of gorgeous fresh flowers.
I am part of the “grown, not flown” slow flower movement, reducing the carbon footprint of fresh flowers with sustainable, regenerative, water conserving, low-till growing practices. I do not ship my flowers. Wild Life Flowers offerings are available at our farm stand or with local delivery agreement.
